Divorce fixed fees & cost
By providing fixed fees this will help you budget in times that are financially difficult.
However, please note that additional costs will be incurred at my hourly rate in a divorce if there are complexities eg problems with respect to the Respondent not signing the divorce papers or if you do not know where the Respondent is living or if they defend the Divorce.
Also, the fixed fees in a Divorce would not cover any advice or work that you may require concerning issues over the children or financial matters. I will however, prior to carrying out additional work inform you of the costs to be incurred so that you can make the appropriate choices.

Non fixed fee work
For all other work that doesn’t fall within our fixed fee scheme then this will be based on my hourly rate and please see "How much will it cost" on the FAQ's section for details. .
For non fixed fee work, I will always use my experience to provide you with realistic figures for what your costs could reach before you agree to continue. If you prefer we can also agree an upper budget limit for you so that if we reach that figure, I will inform you and you can then decide how or if you want to proceed.
- Divorce (if you are the Petitioner and it is uncontested) Our fees £530.00 plus v.a.t of £106.00 and Court fees of £385.00 : Total £1,021.
- Divorce (if you are the Respondent and it is uncontested) Our fees £300.00 plus v.a.t of £60.00 : Total £360.00.
- Change of Name Deed Our fee £120.00 plus v.a.t of £24.00 : Total £144.00
- Parental Responsibility Agreement Our fees £265.00 plus v.a.t of £53.00 : Total £318.00
- A Financial Consent Order with “Clean Break” provisions where there are no assets, Our fees £400.00 plus v.a.t of £80.00 and Court fee £45.00 : Total £525.00.
Fees and Costs
I have seen Divorces offered cheaper on the Internet !!
It is correct that for some of the work that we are offering as a fixed fee you will see advertised cheaper on the internet.
If you wish to trust such an important matter as a divorce, to an online service then that is of course your choice.
However, when dealing with an online services you do not know who is actually doing your work with most of it most likely to be carried out not by one of the Partners of the firm but by a Clerk.
A lot of people like to have personal contact with their Solicitor who is dealing with their case, which I provide.
If you deal with an online Company they could well be at the opposite end of the country.
