My name is Ralph Donner. I qualified as a solicitor in 1978 having graduated with a Law degree from Manchester University in 1975. I have worked as a solicitor in Rochdale for over 25 years. I follow traditional values but apply an up to date and common sense approach to the work that I undertake.

Conveyancing Fees

Here is a guide to conveyancing fees:

All figures present “the bottom line” and include VAT and disbursements (meaning money that has to be paid out on your behalf such as Land Registry and Search fees). Work on a related mortgage is also included. I am assuming no complications and that deeds and documents are in order. The illustrations are typical and dependant upon me taking full details of your transaction. Written confirmation will then be sent to you tailored to your case.

1. House sale where the price is up to £200,000 - £600
2. House purchase at a price of £80,000 - £800
3. House purchase at a price of £100,000 to £125,000 - £900
4. House purchase at a price of £200,000 - £3,000

(Example 4 includes Stamp Duty of £2,000. Stamp Duty is payable at 1% of the price on any purchase above £125,000. If the price is £250,000 to £500,000 then the rate increases to 3%).
